Arshdeep Singh wants to play test cricket for India
New Delhi: Arshdeep Singh is currently the premier pace bowler of the Indian team. Especially Arshdeep has performed brilliantly for Team India in the T20 format. Apart from T20, Arshdeep has also debuted for Team India in ODI, but now this left arm fast bowler wants to make a splash in red ball cricket for India as well. After T20 and ODI, Arshdeep Singh now wants to play for Team India in Test also.
In a program on 'TV9 Network', Arshdeep Singh said that now his aim is to enter the Test team, because he feels that he has got enough experience at the international level to shine in red ball cricket. Last year, he was part of the 18-member Test team for the England tour, but he did not get a chance to play in any of the four matches and he suffered a hand injury before the fourth match.
Arshdeep Singh is desperate for test debut
Arshdeep said that now the time has come for him to perform well in Test cricket and for this he wants to capitalize on every opportunity he gets. Arshdeep attributed India's success in limited overs cricket to BCCI's policies and the structure of the 'Centre of Excellence'.
Learned reverse swing by watching Wasim and Zaheer- Arshdeep
In the program, Arshdeep revealed that in his early days he watched videos of Wasim Akram and Zaheer Khan to learn the art of reverse swing. He told that he tried to learn control of reverse swing and consistency of bowling against different batsmen on different pitches.
Apart from this, bowling with Jasprit Bumrah is also a big learning experience for him. Arshdeep said about Bumrah's bowling, “Many people attribute Bumrah's success to his unique bowling action, but now many people know how hard he works in training to gain control over his balls.”
