Will play PSL, first raise money, Pakistan Cricket Board is going to be ruined

The problems of Pakistan Cricket Board are not showing signs of decreasing. The decision to organize the Pakistan Super League together with the intention of competing with the Indian Premier League proved to be detrimental. Earlier, due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia, the schedule of the tournament had to be changed, it was decided to hold the matches without spectators, now, a PTI report has claimed that some players participating in the PSL are demanding more money than their fixed contract to play in Pakistan, because the security situation is not good.

Players demand increase in money before entering Pakistan Super League – report
New Delhi. Pakistan Super League (PSL) is getting into more trouble every day. On Sunday, Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) Chairman Mohsin Naqvi announced that the 2026 edition will be held at just two venues whereas earlier six venues were decided. This decision has been taken due to the petroleum crisis due to the ongoing conflict in West Asia. Now, a PTI report has claimed that some players participating in the PSL are demanding more money than their fixed contract to play in Pakistan because the security situation is not good.
Although PCB did not say much about the second crisis looming over its league PSL i.e. Pakistan's 'open war' with Afghanistan, but the matter is getting worse. Concern has increased regarding the safety of foreign players. Players are leaving PSL to play in the Indian Premier League (IPL). Before entering the Pakistan Super League, the players have demanded more money than the contract. PTI quoted a source as saying, “The PCB is currently completely focused on holding the PSL as scheduled. It has not decided to take any action against those foreign players who have left the league for personal reasons or have openly violated their PSL contracts and gone to the IPL.”
Last year, PCB had banned South Africa's Corbin Bosch for one year. He left PSL and participated in IPL even before the start of the season. It is believed in the league that this ban did not have any significant impact on Bosh. Therefore, this time a long ban of two or three years is being considered. Naqvi has confirmed that he will take legal action against those who violate the terms of the contract, but this is not an easy solution.
“The argument is that the ban will make it more difficult for the eight franchise owners to sign key foreign players in the upcoming PSL editions,” the source said.
The report also says that PCB may contact the International Cricket Council (ICC). A strong framework can be created to honor players' contracts. It is not clear what and how the ICC can take a decision in this matter between private institutions.
