Eid 2026: Eid-ul-Fitr yesterday, today spent in worship of Allah, goodbye Friday, moon, market buzzing at night.

Eid-ul-Fitr 2026: The last Friday prayers of the month of Ramzan were offered today in all the mosques of the city from 12:30 pm to 2:30 pm. Prayers were sought for peace, love and brotherhood in the country. The fasting people offered namaz on the day of goodbye. Recited Quran-e-Pak. Presented the tribute of Durood o Salaam. People wished each other Eid Mubarak on the moonlit night. The process of congratulating continued the whole night. People also congratulated each other on Eid through mobile and social media. Family members living abroad also congratulated him and inquired about his well-being. People were seen wishing Eid through various messages on Facebook, WhatsApp, Instagram, X etc.

The fasting people sitting on Itikaf in various mosques of the city came out of the mosque thanking Allah. The faithful worshiped a lot during the moonlit night. Offered Namaz. Recited Quran-e-Pak. Many aspects of Eid night have been mentioned in the Hadith, that is why many people stayed awake and prayed and prayed for the beautification of the holy place. A new energy of happiness, light and activity was seen in areas like Rahmatnagar, Turkmanpur, Nakhas, Jafra Bazaar, Chaksha Hussain, Gorakhnath, Zahida Bad, Rasoolpur, Reti, Ilahibagh, Khoonipur, Miyan Bazaar etc.

Eid preparations gained momentum at night. A new glow of happiness was seen in the market waiting for the moon night. There was a huge crowd in Shah Maroof, Nakhas, Reti, Ghantaghar, Urdu Bazaar, Gorakhnath, Jafra Bazaar, Geeta Press Road. All the shops remained open throughout the night and crowd was seen at every shop. Shops were decorated on the footpath and looked crowded.

The shopkeepers had also given a lot of discount on the moonlit night. Sounds like discounted goods at very low prices etc. were hitting my ears again and again. Men, women, youth, children, elderly everyone were in the market. Everyone had a wish that something or the other should be bought on the moonlit night.

Shahmaroof, Nakhas, Reti, Jafra Bazar, Zahidabad remained Aminabad the whole night. The crowd was so dense that it was becoming difficult to walk. A crowd had gathered at several dozen shops decorated here. At some places kurta pajama, cap, perfume, handkerchief were being sold and at some places readymade children's clothes were being sold. Everything was available here for the needs of women also. Crowds of women were seen in the shops of bangles, jewellery, slippers and Dupatta street. Everything from lipstick, nail polish to bangles, bracelets, purses were available. Countless glass items were being sold. People were buying more glass bowls and utensils. Children and youth were seen at shops selling purses, glasses, belts etc. The shoe and slippers shops were full. A huge crowd gathered in Jafra Bazaar also.

People were also seen distributing Sadaka-e-Fitr to poor Muslims. Crowds gathered at the tailors to buy clothes. Tailors' shops remained open till late night. Vermicelli was purchased extensively from places like Nakhas, Urdu Bazaar, Jafra Bazaar, Gorakhnath etc. At the same time, Khowa also sold well. Apart from Khowa Mandi Golghar, Khowa was being sold at places like Nakhas, Jafra Bazaar, Ilahibagh, Khokhar Tola etc. Dry fruits were also sold well.

Ulama Kiram congratulated on Eid

Imam Hafiz Rahmat Ali Nizami and Qari Muhammad Anas Naqshbandi of Sabzap House Masjid Jafra said that Eid-ul-Fitr has special importance among the festivals through which the Prophet of Islam Hazrat Muhammad Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam tried to remove disparities and create a harmonious society. The system of Zakat and Sadak-e-Fitr has been made keeping in mind social justice and economic poverty. The purpose of giving Sadaka-e-Fitr and Zakat in Ramadan clearly indicates that every person should get the things he needs before the moon rises on Eid so that he can enjoy the happiness of Eid.

Imam of Markji Noori Jama Masjid Chaksha Hussain, Maulana Ghulam Hussain Aziji said that the month of Ramadan had come for our training. So that we can live our lives obedient to Allah in the other months of the year. Recite the Quran-e-Pak and live your life according to its orders. The month of Ramadan is full of mercy and blessings. The month of Ramadan came to purify us from our sins.

Maulana Mohammad Ahmed Nizami, Imam of Gausia Jama Masjid Chhote Qazipur said, maintain mutual brotherhood. Pay Fitra and Zakat soon. Refrain from sins. The way life is lived in Ramadan. Live your whole life like that. Whatever work you do is for the pleasure of Allah. Offer Namaz with the congregation. Provide for yourself and your family with Halal resources. Treat your relatives and neighbors better.
