Australian all-rounder Cameron Green misbehaved with the media
New Delhi. Australian all-rounder Cameron Green is in the news these days for some other reason than his game. An Australian journalist has claimed that he misbehaved while speaking to the media after Australia's Sheffield Shield match against New South Wales in Sydney. After making him wait for a long time, he came for the interview and left.
According to The Age report, the media was called to interview Green after the match. After the end of the game it was told that Green would no longer be available. Later this decision was changed. The player agreed to a short interview limited to the match. In this, questions were to be asked about the upcoming match. During the conversation, Green, while answering the first question asked on his return to form, said that it is a positive experience. He expressed hope for the team's victory. When he was asked about his recent struggle with the bat, he refused to answer. This conversation lasted for less than a minute.
The reporter said that Green then got up from there, dismissing the media's questions as useless and walking away. After this incident, the reporter told him that he had been waiting for the interview the whole day. Green shot back, 'Why are you after me?'
The report said Green appeared distressed. After this, Western Australia's assistant coach Bo Casson intervened. After Green left from there he also apologized. The journalist described this incident as unusual, because Green had never done anything like this with the media before. Information about this incident has been given to Cricket Australia.
Green's recent performance has also been noted. He scored 171 runs in the Ashes, averaging 24.42, and scored 24 runs in the T20 World Cup, averaging eight. His average in Tests is 32.75, in 37 matches. He is considered one of the most talented players in the country, but his performance has been affected by serious injuries in the last few years. He was bought for Rs 25.20 crore in the IPL 2026 auction. He will be an important player for Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR).
