This option will be available on desktop
Let us tell you that YouTube has also introduced a new feature for desktop users. With its help, now while uploading shorts, users will get three different frames which you can use as per your convenience.
For your information, let us tell you that earlier this feature was available only for long-form videos but now it has been implemented for Shorts also. Whereas on the mobile app, creators can, like before, select any frame of the video and make it a thumbnail.
Now you can upload custom thumbnail for Shorts
For your information, let us tell you that creators associated with YouTube Partner Program (YPP) will now get the feature to upload custom thumbnail of their choice for Shorts videos. With this, creators will be able to put attractive and professional thumbnails according to the subject of their video, which will make it easier to grab the attention of the audience.
Not only this, this facility is not limited to new shorts only. If you want to change the thumbnail of an old Shorts, then a new thumbnail can be added for the video related to it by going to the Content section in the desktop version of YouTube Studio. The company says that this feature will be made available to more users in the coming time.
AI will prepare thumbnails
Apart from this, YouTube has also made its in-house AI tool Ask Studio smarter than before. Now this tool can create AI based thumbnails for videos. Creators can create thumbnails as per their wish by just giving a prompt.
At the same time, if they do not like the prepared design, then they can change the color, layout, text and choose another thumbnail. This new update of YouTube is going to be very useful for content creators as well as users. Also, creators will now be able to attract the audience in a better way than before.
