- America intensified research by investing $5 billion in AI.
- Scientists will have access to supercomputers, AI tools and government data.
- AI models trained with government data will identify patterns and make predictions.
USA AI Investment: America is looking towards AI to accelerate the long-running scientific research. The Trump administration has recently announced an investment of $ 5 billion (about Rs 48,250 crore) on AI. This money will be used in research to find cure for diseases through AI, speed up the development of new medicines and make stronger materials for building, etc. This means that America has pinned its hopes on AI to solve the problems that have been going on for years. It is noteworthy that after the advent of AI, scientific research has intensified and projects to create new medicines and find cures for diseases are going on all over the world.
Scientists will get advanced computing resources
US President Trump’s Chief Technology Advisor Michael Kratsios said that the White House is bringing together agencies working in different domains so that they can work for science. Officials said that scientists working in this program will get access to advanced computing resources of the US Department of Energy. These include supercomputers, special AI tools and government datasets etc. It is being told that a total of 15 agencies including Department of Health and Human, Department of Energy, Department of Transportation, Department of Defense and Department of Interior will be involved in this program.
AI model will be trained from government data
For this program, AI models will be trained from government datasets. It is noteworthy that the US government has a large data set related to many areas including healthcare, chemicals and critical minerals. By training AI models with this dataset, their patterns can be identified, on the basis of which it will be easier to find out guesses and answers to questions. If research is done using traditional methods instead of AI, it may cost a lot of time. Microsoft has also announced participation in this program.
Zuckerberg is also looking for cure for diseases through AI
Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg had recently invested heavily in a project of his wife Priscilla Chan’s startup Biohub. In this project, with the help of AI, an attempt will be made to understand how human cells work. If it is successful then it will be easy to find cure for diseases. Meta has invested 500 million dollars for this. With this money, such AI systems will be created which will work like human cells.
