New Zealand defeated West Indies by 6 wickets in the third ODI due to the strong performance of Jaden Lennox for the second consecutive match. With this victory, the Kiwi team won the series 2-1. Jaden Lennox took 4 wickets for the team in the match. Although West Indies had a good start in batting, they could not take advantage of it.

New Delhi: In the last match of the three-match ODI series, New Zealand defeated West Indies by 6 wickets. With this victory, New Zealand captured the series 2-1. In the third and last match of the series, the host West Indies team, batting first, managed to score only 140 runs in 37.1 overs. In response, New Zealand won the match and the series by scoring 141 runs at the loss of 4 wickets in 39.3 overs.
Bowling first for New Zealand in the match, left-arm spinner Jayden Lennox bowled brilliantly for the second consecutive match, due to which the West Indies team failed to take advantage of the good start. West Indies, who came to bat first, was at one time 67 runs for one wicket, but after that their batting fell apart like a pack of cards and the entire team collapsed for 140 runs in 37.1 overs.
Only 3 West Indies batsmen could score double digits
Only three batsmen from West Indies reached double digits. Among these, Casey Carty scored the maximum 48 runs. Apart from them, only Akeem August (26) and Shimron Hetmyer (26) could reach double digits. In the last match also, West Indies’ score at one time was 63 runs without any loss but their team was out for 138 runs.
For New Zealand, Lennox took four wickets for 52 runs. He had taken five wickets for 19 runs in the last match. Mitchell Santner took two wickets for 15 runs and Michael Bracewell took two wickets for 33 runs in 8.1 overs. New Zealand won by scoring 141 runs for four wickets in 39.3 overs.
New Zealand made a good start in batting
Henry Nicholls scored 24 runs and Will Young scored 23 runs and made a strong partnership for the first wicket. Daryl Mitchell scored 28 runs in the middle overs and Tom Latham and Dean Foxcroft made an unbroken partnership of 52 runs for the fifth wicket to give New Zealand victory. Latham once again proved to be reliable. He scored 31 not out in 53 balls while Foxcroft scored 22 not out in 28 balls.
