With this victory, they confirmed their place in the thrilling final match against Australia at Lord’s on 5th July.

England achieved the distinction of becoming the first champion by defeating New Zealand in the inaugural T-20 World Cup season played in 2009.
Nat Sciver-Brunt and Heather Knight, who returned from injury, scored tremendous half-centuries in the second semi-final of the World Cup played against South Africa last night. There was a partnership of 133 runs in 90 balls between the two for the fourth wicket, due to which their team came out of the difficult situation of 23/3 and won by 40 runs. England’s bowlers performed brilliantly and restricted South Africa to 129/8 in reply to 169/5.
