New Delhi. The weaknesses of the Indian top-order were once again exposed in the first T20 played between India and England. When the ‘Men in Blue’ team took the field against England at Chester-le-Street, the fans were expecting a great start. But, mutual misunderstandings between the bowlers of the host team and the Indian batsmen changed the whole story. There was panic in the Indian camp in the first two overs of the match, when the team lost its two big wickets on the score of just 6 runs. After winning the toss and coming to bat first, the Indian team got its first big blow in the very second over. England’s fast bowler Saqib Mahmood started troubling the Indian batsmen with his excellent line-length. He trapped Sanju Samson in his net on the initial balls of the over. Samson returned to the pavilion without making any major contribution, due to which the pressure on the Indian camp was clearly visible.

But the real drama was seen soon after. The team was expecting a balanced innings from Ishan Kishan, who came to the crease after Samson’s dismissal. But due to a terrible mix-up (lack of mutual coordination), Ishan Kishan was run-out in a very strange manner. It so happened that after playing one ball of the second over, Ishan Kishan immediately called for a quick single. He ran half the pitch without even looking at the non-striker. Abhishek Sharma standing on the other side had his eyes completely on the ball. Abhishek had sensed that there was no run there and the fielder was rushing towards the ball.
