In this series, scientists have claimed to have created such robots which can see everything which is beyond human eyes. To put it in simple language, now robots will be able to see all the things which we cannot see and they will also perform all the dangerous tasks.
Let us tell you that working in deep mines, war zones and disaster areas like earthquakes has always been a very difficult task for humans. But now such technology is coming that robots will work in place of humans in these dangerous places.
Robots will work in place of humans
For information, let us tell you that today most of the cameras, whether they are in smartphones or any other device, take pictures on the basis of red, green and blue (RGB) light. But hyperspectral cameras have been installed in these new robots.
Actually, the most special thing about these cameras is that they can record not only normal light but also lights like infrared and ultraviolet which humans cannot see easily. That is why now robots will be able to reach places where it is still very difficult for humans to reach.
Where is the research being done
Scientists at Britain’s University of Surrey are developing such advanced robots that can create a detailed 3D map of any new place, identify different things and can also work safely in extremely dangerous areas.
Let us tell you that this project is being prepared with the help of two British tech companies Industrial 3D Robotics and IS-Instruments. In this, Artificial Intelligence (AI), high-tech cameras and advanced mapping technology have been connected together with the help of which robots can understand the environment around them better than before.
3D map will be ready on the go
Scientists have connected this system with SLAM (Simultaneous Localization and Mapping) technology. With the help of this technology, now while roaming in an unknown area, the robot also keeps preparing an accurate 3D map of it.
Apart from this, the AI system named FeatureSLAM gives the robot the ability to better understand the surrounding objects and their materials so that the map can be prepared very accurately.
Big help will be provided in many dangerous areas
In future, this technology can be used in nuclear tests, investigation of damaged buildings after earthquakes, monitoring of railway tracks, disaster relief operations and war zones. This is because these robots can collect information that humans cannot normally see, so the need to send people to risk areas can be reduced to a great extent.
