Indian Cricket Team Upcoming Matches: Leaving behind the crushing defeat from Ireland, the Indian cricket team is now on a big mission to conquer England. On this tour, five T20 and three ODI matches will be played between the two teams. The biggest attraction in this young brigade captained by Shreyas Iyer is the debut of 15-year-old young sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi. If Vaibhav gets a chance, he will become India’s youngest international cricketer by breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s 36-year-old record. The Indian team will play 5 T20 and three ODIs in England in July.

New Delhi. The Indian cricket team’s tour of Ireland may not have been as per expectations. Host Ireland, in a big upset, defeated India 2-0 in the two-match T20 series, but now Team India is fully prepared for a big and tough mission, leaving behind this bitter memory. The next stop of the Indian team is England, where it has to play a five-match T20 International series and a three-match ODI series. This tour is not only a great opportunity for Team India to make a comeback, but is also going to witness the addition of a new golden chapter in the history of Indian cricket.
Throughout this tour, the eyes of cricket lovers around the world are fixed on Vaibhav Suryavanshi, a mere 15-year-old young sensation coming from Samastipur, Bihar. The debut of Vaibhav, who created a stir with his explosive batting while playing for Rajasthan Royals in IPL 2026 and won the Orange Cap, is considered to be completely certain on this tour. If Vaibhav gets a chance to take the field against England, he will break the 36-year-old record of India’s greatest batsman Sachin Tendulkar and become the youngest player to debut in international cricket for India. A similar fearless game will be expected from this scintillating opening batsman, who scored 776 runs at a strike rate of more than 237 in the IPL, on the bouncy pitches of England.

This exciting and long tour will start with a five-match T20 series, where the Indian team captained by Shreyas Iyer will challenge the English Lions at their home. The first T20 match of the tour will be played on July 1 at the Riverside ground of Chester-le-Street, where both the teams will face each other from 10:00 pm Indian time. Soon after, the second T20 match of the series will be played on July 4 at the historic Old Trafford ground in Manchester, which will start at 7:00 pm IST. Both teams will have very little time to adjust to the conditions as the third T20 match is to be played on July 7 at the Trent Bridge ground in Nottingham, which will start at 10:00 pm.
As the series progresses, the excitement will be at its peak. The fourth T20 match will be played on July 9 at Bristol ground, the time of which has also been fixed at 10:00 pm. After this, the last and fifth T20 match of this quick format series will be played on July 11 at the Utility Bowl in Southampton. This match will start at 7:00 pm according to Indian time. These five matches will decide how quickly the Indian team’s new T20 combination can handle itself after the defeat in Ireland.
After the excitement of the T20 series is over, the three-match ODI series between the two countries will start. The first match of the ODI series will be played on 16 July. After this, the second ODI match will be held on July 19, where the Indian team would like to implement its strategies. The last and third ODI match of the tour will be played on July 22, with which this long and important tour of England of the Indian team will end.
The Indian selectors have expressed great confidence in the youth for this tour. Shreyas Iyer has been given the command of the team in place of Suryakumar Yadav, while Tilak Verma has been made the vice-captain. The team has the presence of explosive batsmen like Abhishek Sharma, Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Shivam Dubey, who have the ability to destroy any bowling attack. In bowling, experienced faces like Arshdeep Singh, Mohammed Siraj and Varun Chakraborty will test the English batsmen.
Veterans like former England captain Michael Vaughan have already warned the England team that with the arrival of youngsters like Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the mood of T20 cricket has changed and now even a score of 230 runs cannot be considered safe. However, regarding Vaibhav’s fielding, he has also advised England to adopt the strategy of making India bowl first. Now it will be interesting to see how the Indian team takes revenge of Ireland’s defeat on the English soil and whether this 15 year old Bihari Lal is able to hoist his flag on the grounds of England.
