Actually, in IPL 2026, LSG had set a target of 221 runs in front of Rajasthan Royals in a match. While talking to Sky Sports, Kumar Sangakkara told how Vaibhav came to him and said that he would hit 13 sixes. Donovan Ferreira and Luan Dry Pretorius were also shocked by this statement of Vaibhav.

Kumar Sangakkara told, “We were playing with Lucknow Super Giants, we had to chase 221 runs to stay in the tournament. Vaibhav winked and came to me and said, ‘Coach, don’t worry, consider that we have won.’ Vaibhav then went to the dressing room and told Donovan Ferreira and Luan Dry Pretorius, ‘I am going to hit 13 sixes today. After I do this, you two can handle the rest.”

Kumar Sangakkara continued, “Vaibhav then hit 10 sixes. When he had hit 5 sixes, Donovan and Pretorius looked at each other and wondered, what was he saying? After that, both of them sat down and said, ‘We should count the sixes because this kid is really going to turn his words into action.’ Vaibhav’s confidence is at this level.”
The amazing thing was that in that match Vaibhav scored 93 runs in 38 balls and hit 10 sixes. Rajasthan won that match by 7 wickets with five balls left.
