Eye Problems: Whenever most people experience blurred vision or any other eye-related problem, they immediately think that perhaps they need new glasses or need to get their eyes checked. However, doctors say that whenever there is an eye problem, it is not necessary that the cause lies in the eyes only. Sometimes these symptoms can also be a sign of some deep neurological disease inside the body, which includes brain tumor. In such a situation, small changes in the eyes should not be ignored, because sometimes these initial signs can help in catching a major disease in time.
Every eye problem is not just about the eyes.
According to doctors, our eyes are actually considered a part of the brain. Whenever we see something, that information reaches the brain through the eyes through the optic nerve, where after passing through many paths, it reaches the part of the brain which works to understand the things seen. Now, if any tumor appears anywhere in this path, pressure increases on the brain, or there is some disturbance in any nerve, then the first signs can be the changes that start appearing in the eyes. This is the reason why doctors repeatedly explain that the relationship between eyes and brain is very deep.

Deep connection between eyes and brain
Certain types of brain tumors are initially detected through eye-related problems. The first is pituitary adenoma, which is usually a harmless tumor and forms near the pituitary gland. It gradually reduces eyesight, and often no specific symptoms are visible in the beginning, so it keeps growing silently. The second is craniopharyngioma, which can occur in both children and adults. It is also produced near the pituitary gland and can cause eye problems as well as hormonal disorders.
The third is meningioma, which, if it grows near the optic nerve or pituitary, can put pressure on the visual pathway, causing blurred vision or reduced side vision. The fourth is optic pathway glioma, which directly affects the pathway that sends messages from the eyes to the brain, causing gradual loss of vision.
