After the defeat, Delhi Capitals captain Akshar Patel, while analyzing the match, admitted that the score of 155 runs was a fighting total, but despite having eight specialist batsmen in the team, they were left behind by 10-15 runs.

On a pitch where other batsmen were struggling, Samson batted fluently and apart from hitting seven fours and six sixes, made an unbroken partnership of 114 runs in 66 balls with young Karthik Sharma (41 not out) for the third wicket. Karthik, who scored an unbeaten half-century in the last match, batted intelligently by hitting four fours and two sixes in his unbeaten innings of 31 balls. For Delhi Capitals, captain Akshar Patel and Lungi Ngidi achieved one success each.

‘We have to give our all in the remaining matches’
Akshar described the end of the team’s batting as a positive aspect and said that despite losing five wickets early, the team batted well in the end. While talking about the mistakes in bowling, Akshar confessed to feeling the absence of his partner Kuldeep Yadav.
