IPL 2026 Points Table: Even after Mumbai Indians’ victory over Lucknow Super Giants, their position in the Indian Premier League 2026 points table did not change. Punjab Kings team is at the top while Mumbai remains at 9th position. Lucknow is at the bottom 10th position.

New Delhi. In the Indian Premier League 2026 match played on Monday, Mumbai Indians team kept its playoff hopes alive by winning over Lucknow Super Giants. Lucknow was defeated by six wickets in a high-scoring match on the basis of brilliant half-centuries by openers Rohit Sharma and Ryan Rickelton. Rohit played a brilliant inning of 84 runs in 44 balls and made an opening partnership of 143 runs with Rickelton (83 runs in 32 balls). Due to this strong start, Mumbai achieved Lucknow Super Giants’ score of 228/5 in just 18.4 overs.
Mumbai registered its third win in 10 matches and gained six points. Lucknow team remains at the bottom of the table with only four points in nine matches. Bottom-ranked Lucknow Super Giants finally got some relief from Nicholas Pooran’s first half-century. Puran scored his first half-century of this season and took the team to a strong score of 228/5. For Lucknow, Puran played a stormy inning of 63 runs in 21 balls, while opener Mitchell Marsh contributed 44 runs. This was the best batting performance of Lucknow this season. Captain Rishabh Pant’s poor form continued and he could score only 15 runs.

At present, if we look at the points table of IPL 2026, the team of Punjab Kings remains on the top. Royal Challengers Bangalore is at second place. Both the teams have played 9-9 matches but Punjab has 13 points in its account with 6 wins and one inconclusive match. RCB has gained 12 points from 6 wins. The teams of Hyderabad, Rajasthan and Gujarat are at third, fourth and fifth positions. Everyone has played 10 matches and scored 12 points from 6 wins. On the basis of net run rate, Hyderabad is looking on top.
Chennai is at seventh place while Delhi Capitals team is at eighth place. Both have won 4-4 matches after playing 9 matches. The teams of Mumbai and Lucknow are at 9th and 10th position. Mumbai has won 3 in 10 matches while Lucknow has won only 2 after playing 9 matches.
