After hearing the arguments, the Hangzhou Intermediate People’s Court ruled that Zhou had been unfairly fired. The court said that there is no legal basis to fire an employee due to AI. The company could not prove that Zhou’s work had become impossible. Also, it is not logical to offer him a job at less money. It is wrong to fire him.
