Bihar Police recruitment 2026: There is big news for the students who are preparing for government jobs in Bihar. Bihar Police Subordinate Services Commission has issued a notification for recruitment to 122 posts of Havildar Instructor in Home Guard Department. The application process for this recruitment has started and interested candidates can apply. According to the notification, this recruitment is open for candidates from across the state and applications will be accepted only through online medium. In such a situation, candidates have been advised to keep all the necessary documents ready in time.
How many posts will be recruited and what will be the salary?
A total of 122 posts will be appointed under this recruitment drive. Seats have been reserved for different categories in recruitment. The maximum number of posts for unreserved category is 48, while reservation has been given for other categories as per rules. Whereas the candidates selected for the post of Havildar Instructor will get salary under Pay Level-4. In this, the starting salary can be around Rs 30,000 to 35 thousand, which will increase with time.
Who can apply?
To apply for these posts, the candidate must have passed 12th from a recognized board. Along with this, the age limit has also been fixed. The minimum age has been kept at 18 years, while the maximum age is 37 years for general category men and 40 years for women. Whereas candidates belonging to backward class and extremely backward class have been given relaxation in maximum age. The maximum age limit for Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe candidates has been fixed at 42 years.
What will the selection process be like?
Candidates will be selected in several stages. First of all there will be a written examination, in which objective type questions will be asked. After this a physical efficiency test will be conducted. The final merit list will be prepared on the basis of physical efficiency test. Therefore, physical fitness will also be equally important for the candidates.

Application fees and required dates
The application fee for this recruitment has been fixed at Rs 100 for all categories. Fees can be paid through online mode. Talking about the important dates, the application process will start from May 1 and will continue till June 1, 2026. The date of examination will be announced later.
