Many strange stories keep coming to light related to the history of IPL and the players playing in it. The Indian Premier League is a platform that can make someone a big star overnight. They say that there is no age limit for studies, similarly IPL also does not let age come in the way of talent. Here we are talking about Raghu Sharma, who was given the debut cap by Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya.
It is not surprising to end your cricket career and take up coaching profession. But Raghu Sharma of Mumbai Indians is going to enter the field as a player again after coaching. MI included him in its impact players list in the match against Chennai Super Kings. Raghu came to play in the match as an impact player, who replaced Robin Minz on the field. After all, who is Raghu Sharma, whose story everyone wants to know.

Raghu Sharma was born in the year 1993 in Jalandhar, Punjab. He is a leg-break bowler by profession and can bat well when needed. He taught a lot by sharing his experience with the young players. I feel proud that a player who has been a part of CAP is making a name for himself in high-level cricket.”

Was a net bowler of Mumbai Indians
This is not the first time that Raghu Sharma has appeared in IPL. In the year 2015, he used to be the net bowler of Mumbai Indians team, but later he was released. Let us remind you that before IPL 2025, Vignesh Puthur was out of the season due to injury, Raghu Sharma joined MI as his replacement. Mumbai had retained Raghu for IPL 2026. Now at the age of 33, Raghu has made his IPL debut for the same team for which he used to be a net bowler 11 years ago.
