LSG is not giving chance in IPL, now Arjun Tendulkar will play in this league, got permission from BCCI

Arjun Tendulkar, son of ‘God of Cricket’ Sachin Tendulkar, remains in the news. He is in the news for playing another league between IPL 2026. Although, he is a part of Lucknow Super Giants team in IPL, but Lucknow has not given him a chance to play till now this season. Meanwhile, BCCI has declared Arjun Tendulkar eligible to participate in the auction to be held before the fourth season of T20 Mumbai League.

Let us tell you that Arjun Tendulkar earlier used to play domestic cricket for Mumbai only, but now he has moved to Goa. Arjun now plays domestic cricket for Goa team. According to the report, BCCI has allowed Arjun Tendulkar to participate in the T20 Mumbai League, because he has not participated in any other state league in the last 12 months.

The auction for both men’s and women’s competitions will be held on May 2 while the tournament will be played in the first fortnight of June. As per BCCI guidelines for state associations conducting T20 tournaments, each player is allowed to participate in only one officially recognized cricket league (except the Indian Premier League) during a 12-month period to maintain player focus and prevent excessive physical stress. This 12-month period starts from the conclusion of the tournament in which the player last participated.

The guidelines further state that, for example, if a player participates in a T20 tournament organized by a state association which ends on August 31, 2024, he will not be allowed to participate in any other T20 tournament organized by any other state association till September 1, 2025.

Tendulkar has not participated in any T20 league organized by any state association during the last 12 months. Tendulkar is a part of the Lucknow Super Giants team in the IPL while he was a part of the Goa team in the Ranji Trophy.
