The International Cricket Council (ICC) has released the latest rankings of the teams. Australia has maintained its dominance in both men’s and women’s Test formats. At the same time, the Indian women’s cricket team, which is coming after winning the title of 2025 ODI World Cup, has not made any significant gain in the ODI rankings. Australia is on top in men’s Test and women’s ODI and Test rankings also.
In the annual update of the ICC rankings, all matches played after May 2025 are given 100 percent weightage. Whereas the results of the last two years are included in the ratio of 50 percent. India has secured the first position in the men’s ODI and T20 rankings in the annual update.
India’s dominance in ODI and T20, advantage in Test also
After the annual update of ICC rankings, Team India has secured the first position in men’s ODI and T20 rankings. India has 119 rating points in the ODI rankings, while in T20, Team India is at the top with 273 rating points.
In the Test, the Indian team had lost 0-2 in the recent series against South Africa. Despite this, India has jumped one place to third place in the latest Test rankings. The Indian team has not got this advantage on the basis of its performance. The truth is that England has suffered a huge loss after losing the Ashes series 1-4, due to which it has slipped one place to fourth position.

Latest ranking of women’s team
Australia dominates the women’s ODI and T20 rankings. Australia’s women’s team is on top in the Test with 163 rating points, which is 45 points ahead of second-placed England in terms of rating points. On the other hand, Australia has 295 points in the T20 rankings and here too England is in second place. India’s women’s cricket team remains the number-3 team in the world in both ODI and T20 formats.

In ODI, Team India won the Champions Trophy title in March, but from May 2025 till now, Team India has lost two out of three ODI series.
