Lakhs of students who appeared for CBSE 12th board exam are now waiting for their results. According to media reports, CBSE Class 12 Result 2026 may be released on April 30. However, till now the board has not made any official announcement regarding the result date. In such a situation, students should trust only the official website results.cbse.nic.in and reliable information.
How many students appeared in the examination
The 12th examination of CBSE Board was held from 17 February 2026 to 10 April 2026. This year, about 17.88 lakh students have appeared in the Class 12 board examination. This examination was conducted at many examination centers in the country and abroad.
Result expected on 30th April
Looking at the trend of previous years and the copy checking process, it is being said in media reports that the result can be released around April 30. However, until the notice is issued by the board, it cannot be considered as the last date.
How many marks do you need to pass?
To pass in CBSE board, at least 33 percent marks in every subject is required. In subjects where there is both theory and practical, minimum marks in both may be required.

Even if the website becomes slow, the marksheet can be viewed.
- Open the DigiLocker app or website.
- Login with mobile number or Aadhaar.
- Go to Education section.
- Select CBSE Class 12 Marksheet.
- Fill the required information.
- Download marksheet.

How to check result through SMS
If internet is not working then students can also check the result through SMS. Type in the message box of mobile, cbse12 Roll Number School Number Center Number and send it to number 7738299899. After some time the result can come on mobile through SMS.

Through the IVRS facility of CBSE, students can also know the result by making a phone call.
