Mumbai. Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar is a part of Lucknow Super Giants in IPL 2026. However, till now he has not got a chance to play even a single match for Rishabh Pant’s team. Meanwhile, a good news has come for them. Actually, the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has given him permission to participate in the auction for the fourth season of T20 Mumbai League. That means if they are bought in the auction, they will be seen playing in this league. Along with Arjun, wicketkeeper-batsman Siddhant Adhtarao has also been considered eligible to participate in the auction for the upcoming season of T20 Mumbai League.

Last season, both of them played for different state associations. Arjun has been playing for Goa for the last few seasons after leaving Mumbai. Whereas, Adhatrao represented Puducherry in the last season and has taken NOC from there. According to sources, BCCI has allowed both Tendulkar and Adhtarao to play in the T20 Mumbai League, as both have not participated in any other state league in the last 12 months.

Auction to be held on May 2
The auction for both men’s and women’s categories will be held on May 2 and the tournament will start in the first week of June. According to BCCI rules, players are allowed to play in only one recognized cricket league in 12 months (except IPL). This 12-month period starts from the end of the tournament in which the player last participated.

For example, if a player plays in the T20 league of a state association, which ends on 31 August 2024, then he cannot play in the T20 league of any other state association till 1 September 2025. Tendulkar and Adhtarao have not participated in any T20 league of any state association in the last 12 months. Tendulkar is a part of Lucknow Super Giants in the IPL and Adhtarao was in Puducherry’s Ranji team last season.

Arjun’s base price is Rs 5 lakh
Arjun Tendulkar can also become rich in the auction. Their base price is Rs 5 lakh, which is the highest price bracket. For IPL 2026, Arjun Tendulkar was included in their team by Lucknow Super Giants through a trade from Mumbai Indians. However, till now he has been seen only on the bench. He is seen sweating in the nets, but is not getting a chance in the match.
