New Delhi. Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s storm in IPL 2026 is showing no sign of stopping. Even against Punjab Kings, he gave an explosive start to the team by hitting a series of fours and sixes. However, he missed the half-century. Vaibhav played a stormy inning of 43 runs in 16 balls, which included 5 sixes and three fours. Even though Vaibhav could not score a half-century, a helicopter shot from his bat went viral on social media. Vaibhav played this shot in Arshdeep Singh’s over, on which the ball went straight outside the boundary for 6 runs. The video of this new ‘arrow’ coming out of his ‘quiver’ is going viral.
While playing against Punjab Kings at the New Chandigarh Stadium, Vaibhav hit a spectacular helicopter shot not once but twice in the style of Mahendra Singh Dhoni. However, his shot played on Arshdeep’s ball is more discussed. On the fourth ball of the second over of the innings, Kiwi bowler Lockie Ferguson bowled a full length ball towards his feet. Suryavanshi used his wrists boldly and hit the shot with full force, reminiscent of Dhoni. The ball went straight over mid-wicket for a six without any follow-through. After this, Arshdeep Singh bowled the first ball of the fourth over towards the leg stump. Suryavanshi moved forward, swung the bat and hit another helicopter shot. Vaibhav’s timing and connection between bat and ball was so excellent that the ball once again crossed the mid-wicket boundary for 6 runs.
