New Delhi. From Sachin Tendulkar’s highest runs score to Rohit Sharma’s historic innings of 264 runs, there are many such records in ODI cricket which seem difficult to break. However, the bowlers have also performed many miracles in this 50 over format. These include only two bowlers taking all 10 wickets in a match. This has happened only eight times in ODI history, when two bowlers all out the opposing team. This unique record list also includes two Indian bowlers, who wreaked havoc on the batsmen in a match against Bangladesh played in 2014.

For the first time in 1977…
This feat was first achieved in 1977, when 55 overs were played in an innings of an ODI match. The match was being played between Australia and England at Edgbaston, Birmingham, in which the England team came to bat first. First Greg Chappell and then Gary Koiser wreaked such havoc with his lethal blows that England’s entire innings was reduced to 171 runs. Both Chappell and Koysar took 5-5 wickets in this match.

This feat was repeated for the second time in 2001, when Chaminda Vaas bowled a historic spell, which record still stands today. Actually, the match was played between Sri Lanka and Zimbabwe. Chaminda Vaas and Muttiah Muralitharan dominated the Zimbabwean team, who came to bat first, with the ball to such an extent that they were bundled out for 38 runs. Vaas took eight wickets for just 19 runs in this match, which is a world record for taking the most wickets in an ODI match. Muralitharan had two successes in the match.
