In the 31st match of the Indian Premier League 2026, Sunrisers Hyderabad defeated Delhi Capitals by 47 runs, after which SRH has reached the third position in the points table. This is Hyderabad’s fourth and third consecutive win in the ongoing edition. On the other hand, DC remains at fifth position in the points table after losing its third match in IPL 2026. Punjab Kings is currently at first place in the points table. PBKS is the only team which has not lost any match in the ongoing edition. Punjab has won 5 out of 6 matches and 1 match has been cancelled. Punjab has 11 points and net run rate of +1.420.
Royal Challengers Bangalore is in second place, having won 4 out of 6 matches and lost 2. RCB has 8 points and net run rate of +1.171. Sunrisers Hyderabad has won 4 out of 7 matches and lost 3. Fourth-placed Rajasthan Royals also have 8 points, but the net run rate of SRH (+0.820) is better than RR (+0.599). Rajasthan has won 4 out of 6 matches and lost 2.

Position from 5th to 10th
Delhi Capitals lost the third match in the edition released on Tuesday, DC has won the same number of matches. Gujarat Titans have also won 3 out of 6 matches and lost 3. DC and GT have 6 points each but due to net run rate, Delhi is at fifth position (-0.130) and Gujarat is at sixth position (-0.821).
Mumbai Indians, Chennai Super Kings and Lucknow Super Giants are at seventh, eighth and ninth positions respectively. All three teams have played 6-6 matches, in which they won 2 and lost 4. In terms of net run rate, MI (+0.067) is ahead of CSK (-0.780) and LSG (-1.171).
Kolkata Knight Riders is at number 10 in the points table. KKR has lost 5 out of 7 matches, had 1 match canceled and won 1. KKR has 3 points.

Strong contender for playoff

RCB, SRH, RR have 8 points each, all three have to win at least 4 matches, their position is also good. DC and GT now have to win at least 5 more matches. MI, CSK and LSG are also in the race for the playoffs, they now have to win at least 6 matches, that is, these teams now have to win every match. It is very difficult for KKR, however, by winning the next 7 matches, this team can also stake a claim in the playoffs.
