Cheteshwar Pujara MS Dhoni: Amidst the ongoing debate regarding MS Dhoni's batting order, Cheteshwar Pujara has given a big statement. Pujara believes that sending Dhoni at number 8 or 9 is a waste of his talent. If he plays 25-30 balls, he can change the course of the match even today. Despite Sanju Samson's entry into the team and fitness concerns, the CSK CEO has made it clear that Dhoni will play every match. Now it remains to be seen how Chennai utilizes Mahi's power properly.

Pujara raised questions on Dhoni's batting order.

New Delhi. More than the game of Chennai Super Kings, there is more discussion about what number 'Thala' i.e. MS Dhoni will bat in the upcoming IPL season. Due to his advancing age and fitness challenges, Dhoni has been batting at number 8 or 9 for some time now. But is this the right strategy for the team? Indian Test legend Cheteshwar Pujara does not believe so.
Now Pujara has also jumped into the ongoing debate regarding Dhoni's batting order. Pujara, who was a part of CSK's title win in 2021, has expressed surprise at Dhoni's arrival in the lower order.

Cheteshwar Pujara: During a conversation on 'JeoHotstar', Pujara said, 'I do not understand any logic in MS Dhoni batting at number 8 or 9. Even today, he has the ability to single-handedly turn the match, which is not seen in any other CSK batsman. If he can make such an impact playing just 5 or 10 balls, imagine what Mahi Bhai can do if he plays 25 or 30 balls. Pujara believes that to take full advantage of Dhoni's big-hitting skills, he should bat higher.

'Family' like environment and a period of change
Pujara also praised the culture of CSK's dressing room. He told how the Chennai team remains loyal to the players, due to which the players also give up their lives for the team. Players know what is expected of them. History is witness that once one comes to CSK, he remains a part of the team for a long time. The team is currently going through a phase of change, hence more priority is being given to the youth.

Big statement from CEO Kashi Vishwanathan
There were also speculations about Dhoni's fitness and his playing in every match. But CSK CEO Kasi Vishwanathan has put an end to all these speculations. He clarified that Dhoni will be a part of every playing eleven this season. Vishwanathan said with confidence, 'According to me, Dhoni will play all the matches of this season.'

Sanju Samson's entry changed the equation
The biggest bombshell of this season was CSK trading Sanju Samson to Rajasthan Royals. Samson is an excellent wicketkeeper-batsman and captain. After Sanju's arrival, the question has now arisen that what will be Dhoni's role on the field? Will he play only as a batsman or will Sanju take over the responsibility of wicketkeeping?
