SRH vs CSK IPL 2026 Turning Point: Sunrisers Hyderabad overturned the lost game against Chennai Super Kings in the last 12 balls. The team had to score 30 runs in the last two overs and a total of 12 runs came in the 19th over. After this, 18 runs were needed to win off the last 6 balls but Prafulla Hinge gave only 7 runs and won the match for his team by taking 1 wicket.

Hyderabad team registered a thrilling win against Chennai

New Delhi. Chennai Super Kings reached Rajiv Gandhi International Stadium after registering two consecutive wins and once again had to taste defeat. The decision came on the last ball of the thrilling IPL 2026 high-voltage match against Sunrisers Hyderabad. CSK won the toss and decided to bowl first. For SRH, Abhishek Sharma scored a quick 59 runs in 22 balls in the powerplay, while Heinrich Klaasen scored 59 runs in 39 balls. While chasing 195 runs, CSK team could score only 184 runs for 8 wickets.

Chennai team had to score 30 runs in the last two overs. 12 runs came in the 19th over and 18 runs were needed on the last 6 balls. Last match’s hero Prafulla Hinge gave only 7 runs and Hyderabad won the match by 10 runs. The story of the match completely changed in the second innings. Hyderabad bowlers derailed Chennai’s run chase by bowling disciplined in the middle overs.

Turning Point: SRH turned the match in the middle overs

Chasing the big target of 195 runs, Chennai Super Kings got off to a fast start with Matt Short (34 runs in 30 balls) and Ayush Mhatre (30 runs in 13 balls). The real turning point of the match was SRH’s brilliant bowling in the middle overs, which completely stopped the pace of CSK’s batsmen and increased the pressure on the run rate.

When CSK was looking dangerous. SRH’s spin and pace attack, in which Ishan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy bowled amazingly. Malinga broke the middle order with his variations and took 3 wickets for 29 runs in 4 overs. Nitish Kumar Reddy also took 2 wickets for 31 runs and broke partnerships at important junctures. Shivang Kumar also took 1 wicket for just 18 runs in 3 overs and maintained pressure on the visiting team. Due to this constant pressure, batsmen like Sarfaraz Khan (25 runs in 19 balls) had to play risky shots and were out.

Due to this strong bowling in the middle overs, CSK remained under constant pressure. Ultimately, in the death overs, Saqib Hussain dashed Chennai’s hopes by bowling finisher Shivam Dubey for just 6 runs in the 17th over. Due to this brilliant bowling by SRH, CSK could reach only 184/8 and lost the match by 10 runs. With this important win, Hyderabad registered victory on its home ground and also stopped Chennai’s winning streak.
