Dispute over song between CSK and RCB

New Delhi: Chennai Super Kings have filed a complaint with the BCCI for bad behavior during the match held at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium on April 5. This is a formal complaint by CSK against Royal Challengers Bangalore. This whole matter is about the playing of a song in the stadium. In this complaint, CSK has said that their fans have been hurt by a song. After CSK’s complaint regarding just one song, now a new controversy has started in IPL.

According to a report in ‘Indian Express’, CSK said that during the match, a song was played in which words like ‘Dosa, Idli, Sambhar, Chutney’ were used. The franchise believes that this was an attempt to make fun of their Tamil Nadu identity and limit it to a single scope. CSK Managing Director Kasi Vishwanathan said that usually DJs are there to support the home team, but comments were made against our players at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, after which we have written a letter to BCCI to look into the matter.

Last year also CSK had expressed objection on Dosa Idli song.

This controversy started last year when RCB shared a video of wicketkeeper Jitesh Sharma, in which he was singing these words. In response to this, the DJ there played the same song during the match in Chennai, but later the CSK management intervened and gave strict instructions to its staff not to target the opposition players or fans. However, in the match of April 5 in Bengaluru, a similar incident happened again, regarding which CSK has now expressed strong objection.

RCB won the match by 43 runs

As far as the match is concerned, RCB performed brilliantly and defeated CSK by 43 runs. Batting first, RCB made a huge score of 250 runs with the help of Tim David’s stormy innings of 70 runs in 25 balls and the support of captain Rajat Patidar.

In response, CSK team was reduced to 207 runs despite Sarfaraz Khan’s 50 runs. Bhuvneshwar Kumar bowled brilliantly and took three wickets and ensured RCB’s victory. In such a situation, now it remains to be seen what kind of atmosphere will be there in the stadium when both the teams meet next in this season.
