New Delhi: In the 20th match of the Indian Premier League 2026, Royal Challengers Bangalore captain Rajat Patidar destroyed the Mumbai Indians bowlers. Batting at number three, Patidar completed his fifty in just 17 balls. This is Rajat Patidar’s 11th half-century in IPL. However, Patidar could not stay at the crease for long after scoring his half-century and was caught out by Tilak Verma on the ball of Mitchell Santner.
Patidar was out after scoring 53 runs in 20 balls. In this innings he also hit 5 sixes and 4 fours. At one time Patidar was batting in such an explosive manner that he reached 46 runs in 11 balls. It seemed that he would make the record of fastest fifty in IPL. If Patirdar had done this, then he could have equaled the record of Indian legend Yuvraj of scoring fifty in 12 balls in T20. Yuvraj had achieved this feat against England in the T20 World Cup in 2007.

In the match against Mumbai Indians, RCB team came out to bat first after losing the toss.
