Hyderabad. When Rajasthan Royals team, which is in excellent form, faces Sunrisers Hyderabad in the IPL, its eyes will be set on strengthening its hold on the top position. The Royals have shown their dominance in almost every department in the current season. Four wins in four matches shows the dominance of the team. The team has a dangerous top order and a very balanced bowling attack. The explosive opening pair of Yashasvi Jaiswal and teenage star Vaibhav Suryavanshi has played an important role in the success of the team, who have continuously destroyed the attack of the opposing team in the powerplay.
The fearless batting of Jaiswal and Suryavanshi has made them one of the most dangerous pairs of the current season. At number three, Dhruv Jurel has provided stability and ensured that the team does not lose momentum. The middle order led by captain Riyan Parag has not been tested much so far. However, the middle-order batsmen have not been able to take full advantage of the limited opportunities they have got so far and perhaps this is the only matter of concern in the team’s strong campaign.

However, there is a lot of improvement in the bowling of the Royals in the current season. After finishing ninth last season due to the failure of the bowlers, they have returned as a much more disciplined and dangerous attack. Jofra Archer has led the bowling attack with pace and accuracy while left-arm fast bowler Nandre Berger has troubled the opposition batsmen using angle and bounce. Sandeep Sharma and Tushar Deshpande have supported him well.
Ravi Bishnoi has been the bowler taking the most wickets in the middle overs. He tops the list of most successful bowlers with nine wickets, while the spin department has been further strengthened with the addition of Ravindra Jadeja to the team. In contrast, the performance of Sunrisers Hyderabad has been up and down. The team has failed to perform consistently. The former champion team is in sixth place after losing three out of its four matches.
The team is following its old strategy. They are dependent on the stormy pair of Travis Head and Abhishek Sharma for a fast start but both have not been able to perform consistently. Acting captain Ishan Kishan is also in bad form after his opening innings. The responsibility of scoring runs most of the time has been played by Heinrich Klaasen, who has scored 184 runs in four innings and has been successful in bringing Sunrisers back on some occasions.
However, bowling is the weak side of the team and the absence of regular captain Pat Cummins has increased the team’s problems. The bowling attack is struggling to contain the opposition batsmen, especially in batting-friendly conditions, which is putting more pressure on the batsmen. If Sunrisers want to spoil the rhythm of Royals, then they will have to take more early wickets and will have to perform unitedly in bowling.
