Speaking to Cricbuzz, Michael Vaughan said, “Pant is playing for a country where there is no dearth of talent. Due to his ability and wicketkeeping, he would have made it to any other team in the world, but India has many excellent wicketkeeper batsmen like Ishan Kishan, Sanju Samson and Jitesh Sharma, so this path will not be easy for him.”

Michael Vaughan believes that Pant should take advantage of this big stage of IPL and bat fearlessly like 15-year-old Suryavanshi. He suggested that Pant should try to hit the ball out of the ground while batting at number 3 and his target should be to score a century in 48 balls. If he plays out of fear then he will not be able to perform.

Zaheer Khan also reacted about Pant

On the other hand, India's veteran fast bowler Zaheer Khan took Pant's side and said that he has achieved a lot in the IPL. Zaheer believes that Pant is an impact player in every format and he has achieved many achievements in this format too, even if his statistics are not looking that good at the moment.

He said, “Pant is compared with his Test figures which are so good that people expect the same performance in T20 also. Zaheer reminded that Pant is the fastest player to score 3000 runs in IPL and he has been playing for the last 10 years. Pant just needs to stabilize his batting position and find some balance in his approach to the game.”
