Fine imposed on Abhishek Sharma

New Delhi: Sunrisers Hyderabad's explosive batsman Abhishek Sharma has been fined 25 percent of his match fee and has received one demerit point. Abhishek has received this punishment for violating the IPL Code of Conduct in the match against Kolkata Knight Riders. Abhishek has admitted his mistake and accepted the punishment given by the match referee.

If we look at the performance of Abhishek Sharma in the match against KKR, it was excellent. Abhishek played a brilliant inning of 48 runs in just 21 balls. Along with Travis Head, he gave a stormy start to the team and added 82 runs in just 34 balls for the first wicket. After this, Heinrich Klaasen played a sensible inning of 52 runs, due to which the Sunrisers team was successful in scoring 226 runs for 8 wickets in 20 overs.

KKR's batting flopped badly

KKR's batting, while chasing the target of 227 runs against Sunrisers, flopped badly. Angkrish Raghuvanshi definitely tried by scoring 52 runs, but he did not get support from any other batsman. Apart from Raghuvanshi, team's vice-captain Rinku Singh contributed 35 runs in 25 balls, but due to poor coordination and run-out, the entire Kolkata team was reduced to just 161 runs. Hyderabad bowlers took wickets together and gave their team a big win by 65 runs.

Although this victory brought a reason for celebration for Hyderabad, the penalty imposed on Abhishek Sharma was a small disappointment amidst his good innings. Talking about bowling, Jaydev Unadkat was the most successful from Sunrisers. Unadkat took 3 wickets giving just 21 runs in 3 overs. Apart from this, Ishan Malinga and Nitish Kumar Reddy also took two wickets each. Harsh Dubey also took one wicket.
