Shooting of Sourav Ganguly's biopic begins
New Delhi: The shooting of the film 'Dada', being made on the life of great Indian cricketer Sourav Ganguly, has started and actor Rajkumar Rao will be seen in the role of Dada in it. The makers announced this on Instagram on Wednesday. 'Udaan' and 'Lootera' fame Vikramaditya Motwane will direct this film while Luv Ranjan and Ankur Garg of Luv Films are producing.
Luv Films wrote, 'Light, camera, cricket. Shooting of Dada film begins. Motwane also shared this news with a picture of Sourav Ganguly stand at Eden Gardens, Kolkata.
Ganguly, who played for India between 1992 and 2008, has scored 18575 runs including 38 centuries in Tests and ODIs. Ganguly said in an interview given to PTI in July 2025 that Rao would be the right choice for his role in the film to be made on him.
