In that match, he gave away 44 runs in 4 overs at an expensive economy rate of 12. That match was his first international match, and no one knew that it would also prove to be his last match. Seeing his talent, in the year 2014, he got a chance to represent India in ODI cricket against Bangladesh, where he took 2 wickets. After this, in the year 2017, he got the privilege of playing the only T20 International match of his career against England. In this T20 match, he took 1 wicket and scored 32 runs. But due to tough competition in the team and lack of consistent opportunities, Rasool’s international career came to a halt after just one ODI and one T20 match. Today Rasool is living in the darkness of anonymity, away from the mainstream of cricket.

Sudeep Tyagi, born in Ghaziabad, Uttar Pradesh, was once considered the future of Indian fast bowling. Tyagi, who stunned the batsmen with his speed and swing in domestic cricket, got the ticket for the Indian team in the year 2009. Between December 2009 and 2010, his career progressed very rapidly. He played 4 ODI international matches for India, in which he took 3 wickets. During this time, he also got a chance to play a T20 International match against Sri Lanka. But injuries and decline in form put a brake on the career of this young bowler. Within just one year his international career started and ended. Tyagi played only 1 T20 match for India and after that he could never come on the radar of the national selectors.
‘The Wall’ of domestic cricket which could not survive in international cricket
The story of Subramaniam Badrinath, who scored a mountain of runs in domestic cricket, is the most emotional one. This batsman from Tamil Nadu was called ‘The Wall’ of domestic cricket. Badrinath, who played 95 matches for Chennai Super Kings (CSK) in the IPL and scored thousands of runs in hundreds of domestic matches, played all three formats for India. Badrinath played 2 Test matches for India in which he scored 63 runs, and added 79 runs in 7 ODI matches. But if we talk about T20 International, he got a chance to play only one match for India. In the only T20 match played against West Indies in 2011, he played a brilliant inning of 43 runs and was also the ‘Man of the Match’. Despite such excellent performance, he never got a chance to play T20 International again. Despite being a great player in the IPL and at the domestic level, he remained an unknown star on the international stage.
