The Indian team became the victim of a big upset on Sunday. Team India lost the second match of the T20 series played at the Civil Service Cricket Club by a margin of just 1 run. With this, India had to lose the series against Ireland for the first time in T20 history. After losing the toss and coming to bat, the Irish team scored 154 runs losing 8 wickets. In reply, India could score only 153 runs after losing 9 wickets in the stipulated overs. Earlier, India had lost the first match of the series played on the same ground on June 26 by 34 runs.
Before this match, there were only two Indian cricketers who hit a six while facing the first ball of their T20 International career. Suryakumar Yadav was the first batsman to do so. India’s T20 World Cup winning captain Suryakumar had hit a six off Jofra Archer in Ahmedabad in 2021. This was the first ball of his T20 International career.
After this, this happened in 2024, when Ramandeep Singh hit a six on the very first ball he faced on his T20 International debut. Ramandeep added his name to this record list by hitting a six off Andile Simelane in Centurion. Ramandeep Singh is a wicketkeeper batsman.

Now a third name has been added to this list. This name is of Prince Yadav, who made his debut in the second T20 International against Ireland. Although Prince is a fast bowler, but while taking strike on the last ball of the Indian batting innings, he hit a brilliant six. With this, he joined the list of Indian batsmen who hit a six on the very first ball of their T20 International career.
In his debut match, Prince Yadav showed amazing bowling skills. He took three wickets for just 22 runs in his spell of four overs. Prince prevented Ireland’s half-century scorer Harry Tector from scoring a big score by walking him. Prince also dismissed Lorcan Tucker and Liam McCarthy. However, his spell could not help the team win.
His performance in IPL 2026 has a major contribution in giving Prince Yadav a place in the team and a chance to debut. The debut cap was handed over to Prince by veteran all-rounder Shivam Dubey. Prince’s cap number is 121. Prince bowled amazingly in IPL 2026 and took the wickets of legends like Virat Kohli. Prince has pace, bounce, swing, yorkers which trouble the batsmen. This bowler took 16 wickets in 14 matches for LSG in IPL 2026. He made his international debut in the recently concluded ODI series against Afghanistan.
