New Delhi. The teams of India and England will face each other in the ODI series from July 14. After suffering an embarrassing clean sweep in the T20 series, India is eyeing to settle the score by winning the ODI series. The first match will be played in Birmingham. Before this, big changes have been seen in Team India. Fast bowler Harshit Rana, who recently returned to the team after getting fit, is out of the team again due to injury. Giving an update, BCCI said that Harshit Rana has been ruled out of the ODI series against England and T20 series against Zimbabwe. Prince Yadav has been included in his place. In another change, Ravi Bishnoi has been called in place of mystery spinner Varun Chakraborty.
Harshit Rana injured again
Harshit Rana was a part of the three-match ODI series against England, but he said that he had a sudden problem in his right hamstring in the third T20 played against England at Trent Bridge. The scan revealed that he had a grade 1 hamstring injury. Because of this he was dropped from the ODI series against England. Rana will report to the BCCI Center of Excellence (COE) for further investigation and management.
Prince Yadav has impressed
Prince Yadav came into limelight with his amazing bowling in IPL 2026, after which he got a call from the Indian team and got a chance to make his ODI debut against Afghanistan in June. After this he also made his debut in T20 International against Ireland. Now Prince has also got a place in the team for the ODI series against England. His effort will be to create a stir in the upcoming series. Prince has so far taken 5 wickets in two ODIs and three in four T20s.
On the other hand, right-arm spinner Varun Chakraborty also said that he had a sudden problem in his left hamstring in the third T20 against England. An MRI scan revealed a grade 2 hamstring injury. On the advice of doctors, he has been dropped from the T20 series against Zimbabwe. Varun will now report to BCCI COE. Right-arm spinner Ravi Bishnoi has been included in the team in place of Varun Chakraborty for the 3-match T20 series against Zimbabwe.
