India vs England women’s team test match

New Delhi: Lord’s Cricket Ground is called the Mecca of Cricket. Every cricketer in the world dreams of playing on this ground at least once, but not everyone gets a chance here. The same happened with women cricketers, but now for the first time in 142 years, a new history will be created for women’s cricket at Lord’s.

Actually, on July 10, the women’s teams of India and England will take the field for the only test match at Lord’s. This will be the first time in the history of women’s Test cricket that a Test match will be organized between two teams. Both India and England teams are excited for this test match to be held at Lord’s.

Indian team chief coach is happy for Lord’s

Indian women’s cricket team head coach Amol Majumdar is both happy and surprised about the Test to be held at Lord’s. In the press conference before the match, Majumdar said that the players are eagerly waiting for this opportunity. She said that she had started talking about it even before the recently concluded T20 World Cup.

Majumdar, who played 171 first matches during her career, said, “It surprises me that this is the first Test match (for women) at Lord’s. Still, I consider myself very lucky and want to congratulate everyone involved. This is a huge opportunity and we are eagerly waiting for it.

Playing at Lord’s is a big deal for Indian players.

He said, “Playing a Test match is a dream for any Indian cricketer, playing at Lord’s is a big deal. I am sure that tomorrow any player who will play a Test match at Lord’s wearing a white jersey will be proud of this.

After a disappointing departure from the T20 World Cup, the Indian team trained at Wormsley Cricket Ground for this red ball match. India played its last Test match in March this year whereas it had not played any Test match the previous year.
