Actor Ritesh Deshmukh has made a special place in the film industry on his own. From comedy to action, he has done all types of characters. Meanwhile, recently in the show Lock Up, Ritesh told that people think that he gets work because he is the son of a Chief Minister. The actor told that it took him a lot of time to remove this tag.
Ritesh Deshmukh’s pain spilled
Ritesh Deshmukh is hosting the reality show Lockup 2 these days. While replying to contestant Yogesh Rawat before a task in the show, Riteish Deshmukh remembered the initial phase of his career and talked openly about the tag imposed on him. Actually, Yogesh Rawat was tagged as a cheater in the show.
In such a conversation with Yogesh Rawat, Riteish Deshmukh said, ‘When I did my first film, my father was the CM of Maharashtra, so everyone said, ‘His father is the CM, that’s why he gets work and that’s why his films work.’ I have gone through this phase.
Ritesh further said, ‘Today after doing 60 films in 23 years, I am standing in front of you after breaking that tag. It takes time and effort to break some tags, but once you are determined, these tags will be broken sooner or later.

Ritesh Deshmukh’s film career
Let us tell you, Ritesh Deshmukh has made a name for himself with his work in Bollywood and Marathi cinema. Ritesh started his acting career in 2003 with the film ‘Tujhe Meri Kasam’.
In Hindi cinema, Ritesh created a stir with films like ‘Housefull’, ‘Dhamaal’, ‘Hey Baby’ and ‘Masti’ series. He started his own film production company, ‘Mumbai Film Company’ in 2013. He achieved success in Marathi cinema with films like ‘Balak Palak’ (producer) and ‘Lai Bhari’ (actor).
Riteish Deshmukh’s last release is ‘Raja Shivaji’, which was released in theaters on 1 May 2026. This film has also been directed by Ritesh Deshmukh.

Ritesh Deshmukh is the son of Vilasrao Deshmukh. Vilasrao Deshmukh had been the CM of Maharashtra. His death occurred in the year 2012.
