New Delhi. The Indian team, currently present in England, will tour Zimbabwe for three T20 matches next month. For this, BCCI has announced a 16-member squad. The most surprising thing is that the selectors have shown the door to Sanju Samson, the Indian opener batsman who won the T20 World Cup, for this tour. Everyone is surprised by this decision. Along with Abhishek Sharma, 15-year-old young batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi will be seen opening in Zimbabwe, who made his international debut in the second T20 against England. The series will start from July 23, while the second and third T20 will be played on July 25 and 26 respectively. All three matches will be held in Harare.

Vaibhav will create a stir in Zimbabwe
Under the captaincy of Shreyas Iyer, 15-year-old opening batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi has once again been given a chance. Tilak Verma will be the vice-captain of the team. Vaibhav Suryavanshi was a part of the two-match T20 series against Ireland, but he could not get a chance there. After this, he was not included in the playing eleven even in the first T20 match against England. Ultimately, Vaibhav was given a chance in the second match, with which at the age of 15 years and 99 days, Vaibhav became the youngest Indian cricketer to debut at the international level. However, Vaibhav could score only 14 runs in his debut match.

Samson was thrown out
The exclusion of Sanju Samson, who led India to the title win by playing three consecutive excellent innings in the knockout matches of T20 World Cup 2026, is raising questions in everyone’s mind. The question is, is this a sign of the end of Samson’s career? For the first time after the T20 World Cup, Samson toured Ireland in Team India’s jersey, but could not score runs in both the matches. Even in the first T20 against England, his bat remained silent. When the turn came for the second match, young Vaibhav was given his debut in his place. It will be interesting to see whether he returns to the playing-11 in the remaining three T20 matches against England or not.

Rinku’s return, entry of these new players also
Match finisher Rinku Singh has returned to the T20 team. Apart from these, Prince Yadav, Yash Thakur and Ashok Sharma are also part of the Indian team. Ashok Sharma made headlines in IPL 2026 with his fast bowling. Harsh Dubey and Varun Chakraborty have been included in the team as spin bowlers, but Axar Patel and Ravi Bishnoi, who were part of the team on the England tour, were not given a chance. The responsibility of wicketkeeping has been entrusted to Ishan Kishan and Prabhsimran Singh.
