Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train Package: If you are planning to visit major religious places during Pitru Paksha, then Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation has brought a great opportunity for you. IRCTC has announced Bharat Gaurav Special Tourist Train Package named ‘Pitru Paksha Tirtha Yatra (Puri-Gangasagar- Baidyanath Dham)’. This journey will start from 30 September 2026 and continue till 8 October 2026. In this package of total 9 days and 8 nights, devotees will be given darshan of many famous religious places.
Where will this journey start?
This special train will leave from Solapur in Maharashtra. On the way, passengers will be able to board it from stations like Kurduvadi, Daund, Pune, Lonavala, Karjat, Panvel, Kalyan, Nashik, Manmad, Chalisgaon, Bhusaval, Akola, Badnera, Wardha and Nagpur.
Where will darshan be held?
During the yatra, devotees will be taken to visit the famous Shri Jagannath Puri Temple of Odisha, Konark Sun Temple and Lingaraja Temple located in Bhubaneswar. Apart from this, Kali Mata Temple and Gangasagar in West Bengal and Baba Baidyanath Jyotirlinga Temple in Jasidih, Jharkhand will also be a part of this yatra. In this way, there will be an opportunity to visit many important pilgrimage sites in a single package.

How much will this cost?
IRCTC has provided packages in three categories for the convenience of passengers. Sleeper class fare has been kept at Rs 18,040 per person. For third AC category, Rs 32,130 will have to be paid, while for second AC category, Rs 43,070 will have to be paid per person. A separate concessional fare has also been fixed for children between 5 to 11 years.

What facilities will be available?
Apart from the train journey, this package includes accommodation, vegetarian food, bus transportation to local sightseeing places, travel insurance, security on the train and all applicable taxes. For sleeper class passengers, accommodation will be arranged in non-AC hotels, while for third AC and second AC class passengers, accommodation will be arranged in AC budget hotels. Second AC class passengers will also get the facility of AC vehicles for local travel.
You will have to bear these expenses yourself
However, facilities like entry fees to monuments, expenses for boating or adventure activities, local guide fees, room service, personal expenses, laundry, food items other than the meals included in the package and tips will not be part of this package. The passengers will have to pay these themselves.
