Tulsi is considered a symbol of Mother Lakshmi, while Shami is related to Shani Dev. The presence of these two plants is considered helpful in maintaining a positive environment in the house. To get rid of Shani Dosh, Shami Patra should be offered to Lord Shiva and Shani Dev. Tulsi worship is sure to bring in money.

According to Vastu, Tulsi and Shami plants can be kept in the same house. However, they should always be planted in different pots. It is believed that both the plants have different energy and their positive effects are seen better when found at different places.

According to Vastu Shastra, Tulsi and Shami can be kept around in the house but never make the mistake of planting them in the same pot. Due to this, their energy becomes unbalanced and does not have auspicious effect.

It is considered auspicious to keep the Tulsi plant in the east or north direction. Whereas south-west direction is considered suitable for Shami plant. According to Vastu, plants planted in the right direction bring happiness and prosperity to the house.

If you are planting both Tulsi and Shami plants in the house, then keep in mind that there should not be any dustbin, thorny plants or shoes around them. Do not dry wet clothes. Take care of cleanliness and replace dry or broken plants on time.

It is auspicious to plant Tulsi on Thursday or Friday. Shami sapling can be planted in the month of Sawan, on Dussehra or on Saturday.
