Jai Moondra Rotterdam Dockers: In the first historic player draft of the European T20 Premier League, Ireland’s young sensation Jai Moondra has been included in the team by Rotterdam Dockers as their first pick. Praising Rajasthan’s Mundra, who was the ‘Player of the Series’ in the T20 series against India, Dockers co-owner Jonty Rhodes called him an extraordinary talent. In this draft, a total of 6 franchises have strengthened their teams by selecting 36 key players from Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands.

Dublin. Ireland’s young cricketer Jay Mundra, who was the hero of the historic T20 series win over India, was included in their team by Rotterdam Dockers in the first player draft (auction) of the European T20 Premier League. Six franchises of ETPL selected a total of 36 players during the draft. These included 12 players each from Ireland, Scotland and Netherlands.

Amsterdam Flames and Rotterdam Dockers selected the majority of players from the Netherlands, while Edinburgh Castle Rockers and Glasgow Cosmic included nine of the 12 players from Scotland in their squads. Whereas Dublin Guardians and Belfast Wolves selected seven out of 12 players from Ireland.

Rotterdam Dockers included Mundhra in the team as their first selection. Rajasthan’s Mundra recently won the ‘Best Player of the Series’ award for his brilliant performance in the T20 series against India.

Dockers included Netherlands internationals Michael Levitt, Ryan Klein, Vikramjit Singh and Saqib Zulfikar in the squad. Belfast Wolves increased their strength by including Ireland’s experienced Paul Stirling and emerging left-arm spinner Matthew Humphries in their squad.

Rotterdam Dockers co-owner Jonty Rhodes said, ‘Given the way Jai Mundra has made his mark at the international level, we were very keen to include him in our team. He is a talented young player with extraordinary potential and we are happy to have him as a part of our team.
