Gautam Gambhir may come under target again, if rejected, head coach will be on radar

Top order contenders are standing at the forefront to increase the headache of the head coach. There are players like Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ishan Kishan who are ready to open. Even if Ishan is seen as No. 3 at the moment, there are still three players who deserve a place in all the playing elevens.
Team India’s coach Gautam Gambhir may be trolled again regarding playing XI.
New Delhi. We often hear that when a team has a lot of talent then selection becomes a ‘good problem’ but to be honest this problem is not so pleasant because in the end you have to take such a decision which does not get a chance to one of the best players and currently India is in this situation. With the start of the new season, the biggest challenge for head coach Gautam Gambhir will not only be to choose the best playing eleven but also to manage qualified players.
Top order contenders are standing at the forefront to increase the headache of the head coach. There are players like Abhishek Sharma, Sanju Samson, Vaibhav Suryavanshi and Ishan Kishan who are ready to open. Even if Ishan is seen as number 3 at the moment, there are still three players who deserve a place in the playing eleven. How can you leave out either Abhishek or Sanju in the top order? Abhishek has changed the way India plays T20 in the last one and a half years, while Sanju was the ‘Player of the Tournament’ in the recently concluded World Cup. How can you drop any of these guys just based on IPL performance?
‘Serious’ challenge in front of Gautam
The biggest question from social media to Facebook is that how can we stop Vaibhav from making his debut? He is in great form, even if IPL is the main parameter in his case, but recently he has also performed well in the final matches in Sri Lanka. At present he is in the news the most and there is no doubt about his talent. He deserves a debut, but in whose place? And if they get a chance, how do you justify the decision to drop Sanju or Abhishek? This is one of the toughest selection decisions in recent times and it is purely based on performance.
All these players should get a place in the team and in almost any other country in the world, they would have been directly included in the playing eleven and would have got a longer chance, but here every decision will be under constant scrutiny and questions will be raised. Suppose Vaibhav sits out and either Abhishek or Sanju fails in a few matches, then the pressure for change will increase. Whereas if Vaibhav gets a chance and he is unable to perform, then the question will arise as to why India chose him instead of Sanju or Abhishek.
Head coach will have to talk
Gautam Gambhir is the right person for this decision. He will rely on his experience and understanding and will not take decisions under the influence of emotions and this is also the right way. After taking the decision, it is important to talk to the player who did not get a chance. He has to explain why he has to wait. This is where IPL should be given huge credit. In two decades, this league has completely changed T20 cricket in India. The pool of talent has become huge and the line of new talent is continuously getting stronger. Looking at this depth, it is clear that India can rule this format in the coming decade.
Even though everyone is talking about glory at the moment, it is important to remember that Abhishek’s international career is also in its early stages and if Sanju had not been there, India would not have become world champions in March. The truth is that people have short memories and their attitudes change quickly, all these players will have to understand this and give their best performance on the Ireland tour.
