Gautam Gambhir is the right person for this decision. He will rely on his experience and understanding and will not take decisions under the influence of emotions and this is also the right way. After taking the decision, it is important to talk to the player who did not get a chance. He has to explain why he has to wait. This is where IPL should be given huge credit. In two decades, this league has completely changed T20 cricket in India. The pool of talent has become huge and the line of new talent is continuously getting stronger. Looking at this depth, it is clear that India can rule this format in the coming decade.

Even though everyone is talking about glory at the moment, it is important to remember that Abhishek’s international career is also in its early stages and if Sanju had not been there, India would not have become world champions in March.
