Suryavanshi was giving water, the slip opened and the secret came out, who betrayed

IND vs IRE 1st T20I: Gautam Gambhir also has a problem in front of him that if he makes the debut of 15 year old explosive batsman Vaibhav Suryavanshi, then he will have to tamper with the winning playing eleven combination. From Sanju Samson, Abhishek Sharma to Ishan Kishan, the top order is full of top players. Making room for Vaibhav among 11 players is a very tricky task.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi will have to wait longer for his debut
belfast: The player for whom the whole world was sitting in front of the TV screen with their eyes closed, Vaibhav Suryavanshi was not considered worthy of even the 12th player by head coach Gautam Gambhir and captain Shreyas Iyer. 15 year old rising star Vaibhav will have to wait longer for his international debut. He was not given a place in the playing eleven in the first T20 being played against Ireland on 26 June.
As soon as both the captains came to the ground for the toss before the start of the match, everyone was eager to know whether Vaibhav would play or not. But as soon as Shreyas Iyer’s hand slip (playing eleven list) became known that Vaibhav was not given a debut, there was disappointment on social media. Captain Iyer, when asked about Suryavanshi, said:
Unfortunately no (he is not playing). He is a very talented player, but there are many experienced players in our team, who have performed brilliantly for India in the last few series, so at the moment we are trusting only those players. He will definitely get a chance when the time comes. At present, we have decided to go with three fast bowlers, one all-rounder and two spinners in the team combination.

Tampering with top order is not easy
Samson, Abhishek and Kishan scored half-centuries in the ICC T20 World Cup final victory against New Zealand in March. After this, India has not played any match in the shortest format. If the team management includes Suryavanshi as an opening batsman, then either Samson or Abhishek will have to either play lower down the batting order or be out of the team. This would be a drastic step after winning the World Cup title.
Who is thrown out to feed Vaibhav?
There was a hue and cry about Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s name in IPL 2026. He was the Orange Cap holder by scoring 776 runs in the tournament. There is no doubt that he is completely ready for international cricket. But the question arises that who should be removed in his place. Samson has scored 926 runs in 28 innings as an opening batsman, which includes three centuries and four half-centuries. In T-20 International, world number one batsman Abhishek has scored 1414 runs with the help of two centuries and 10 half-centuries in 43 innings as an opener. His strike rate is 192.38, which is very impressive. In IPL also, both of them had scored 477, 563 runs respectively. The third contender, Ishan Kishan, scored 602 runs in the IPL and recently also scored 125 runs in the second ODI against Afghanistan in Lucknow.
India is bowling after winning the toss
Indian T20 team’s new captain Shreyas Iyer won the toss and decided to bowl first against Ireland in the first T20 International of the two-match series on Friday. This is Iyer’s first test as Indian captain in this format, returning to the team after a long time. The Irish team, led by new captain Lorcan Tucker, has given an opportunity to Jay Mundra and Matt Hallard to debut.
