Very good news has been received for the youth of Uttar Pradesh. Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) on Tuesday (June 23) declared the result for the post of Technical Assistant Group-C in the Agriculture Department. A total of 3446 candidates were selected in this recruitment process, who will soon be deployed in different districts of the state.
The written examination was held in July 2025
Let us tell you that to fill these posts in the Agriculture Department, Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) had organized the written examination on 13 July 2025. Since the examination, candidates were eagerly waiting for their results. As soon as the Commission released the results on Tuesday, there was a wave of happiness among the successful candidates and their families. After the declaration of the results, Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi, Minister of State for Agriculture Baldev Singh Aulakh and all the senior officials of the department wished the successful candidates for a bright future.

How many candidates of which category were successful?
Agriculture Minister Surya Pratap Shahi shared complete information about the selected candidates. He said that complete transparency was maintained in this recruitment process and all sections got proper representation as per the rules. Category-wise details of total 3446 selected candidates are as follows.
- General Category: 1813 candidates
- Other Backward Classes (OBC): 629 candidates
- Scheduled Caste (SC): 509 candidates
- Economically Weaker Section (EWS): 344 candidates
- Scheduled Tribe (ST): 151 candidates
What is the work of Agricultural Technical Assistant?
According to Agriculture Department officials, these technical assistants will have a direct role in rural areas. These assistants will directly connect with the farmers and make them aware about new and modern farming techniques. They will be responsible for taking the welfare schemes of the Central and State Governments like PM Kisan Samman Nidhi, Soil Health Card and Crop Insurance Scheme to every small and big farmer. Apart from this, farmers will be given information about the correct use of improved seeds, organic fertilizers and pesticides, which will increase crop production and reduce the cost of farming.
