
Generally bottle gourd is eaten as a vegetable, but when barfi is made from it, its taste completely changes. To make this, first of all fresh bottle gourd is taken, wash it thoroughly, peel it and also remove all the seeds from it and then grate it.

After this, put ghee in a pan and heat it. Then add grated bottle gourd into it and fry well on medium flame for about 10 minutes. When the bottle gourd is cooked well, add milk and mawa to it and fry for some more time. This mixture makes barfi soft and tasty. After this, add sugar in it and keep stirring it continuously until it becomes thick. Also, to enhance the taste, you can also add cardamom powder to it, which further enhances its aroma.
