In the Kuru court, Bhishma Pitamah explained to Dhritarashtra that it was not right to fight with the Pandavas. He said that Pandavas are also members of Kuruvansh and they should be treated like sons. According to him, Pandavas should get their rights by following justice and religion.

Bhishma reminded Dhritarashtra that the Pandavas had as much right to the kingdom as the Kauravas. He said that if half the kingdom is given to the Pandavas, then peace can be maintained between the two sides and any major conflict can be avoided in future.
