Peshawar Zalmi becomes champion of PSL 2026

New Delhi: Due to Aaron Hardy’s excellent all-round performance, Peshawar Zalmi defeated Hyderabad Kingsmen by 5 wickets in the final of Pakistan Super League 2026. In the final match, Hyderabad team batted first and scored 129 runs in 18 overs. In response, Peshawar Zalmi, captained by Babar Azam, won the match by scoring 130 runs in 15.2 overs.

Aaron Hardy showed an amazing game for Peshawar in the final. In the first bowling, Hardy took 4 wickets for Peshawar giving just 27 runs in 4 overs. After this, in batting also, he made Peshawar Zalmi the champion by playing an unbeaten inning of 56 runs in 39 balls. Hardy was chosen player of the match for his all-round performance. While chasing the target, apart from Hardy, Abdul Samad also played a brilliant inning of 48 runs in 34 balls with the help of 4 sixes and 3 fours. Apart from these two, no other batsman could do anything special for Peshawar. Captain Babar Azam himself became the golden duck in the final. However, the entire tournament was great for Babar.

Hyderabad’s batting was a flop

The batting of Hyderabad Kings, captained by Marnus Labuschagne, was very disappointing in the match. The team lost wickets at regular intervals, due to which it could not score a big score. Sam Ayub scored the highest score of 54 runs in 50 balls for Hyderabad in the match. This innings of Sam Ayub was very slow. In his half-century innings, Sam also hit 5 fours and 2 sixes.

Apart from this, team captain Labuschagne contributed 20 runs in 12 balls. Whereas, Hasan Khan played an inning of 12 runs and Maaz Sadaqat played an inning of 11 runs. In bowling, apart from Aaron Hardy, Naheed Rana also played brilliantly for Peshawar and took 2 wickets for 22 runs in 4 overs, while Mohammad Basit and Sufiyan Muqeem took one wicket each.
