Chennai Super Kings all-rounder breaks leg, out of IPL 2026 after match against MI

Ramakrishna Ghosh’s name has been added to the list of injured players of Chennai Super Kings. The CSK team confirmed through social media that Ramakrishna had to be out of the entire season due to a fracture in his leg. He recently made his IPL debut in the match against Mumbai Indians. He took the first wicket of his career by making Suryakumar Yadav his victim.

CSK team said in the official statement that Ramakrishna Ghosh suffered a fracture in his right leg in the Chennai Super Kings vs Mumbai Indians match. He will no longer be able to participate in the next matches of the IPL 2026 season. He also got a memorable moment in his debut match, when he took a brilliant catch of Will Jacques. Coach Stephen Fleming also admitted that Ghosh’s injury is a big blow for the Chennai team.

Ramakrishna Ghosh was added to their team by Chennai Super Kings in the mega auction of IPL 2025 and the team retained him for the 2026 season. Ramakrishna Ghosh’s injury is also a big blow because he is a good all-rounder player.

CSK is missing these players

The players of Chennai Super Kings are constantly surrounded by injuries. Even before the season had started, Australian fast bowler Nathan Ellis was out. Recently, Khalil Ahmed has been out, while opening batsman Ayush Mhatre has been out of the entire season due to hamstring injury. The biggest miss for the team is MS Dhoni, who has not played a single match in IPL 2026 till now due to calf injury.
