Made acting debut from TV
Reema Lagoo was born on 21 June 1958 in Mumbai. His real name was Nayan Bhadbhade. His mother Mandakini was a famous Marathi stage actress. Reema also started her career as a Marathi stage performer. After this she came into the TV industry. His TV debut was with the show ‘Khandaan’ which came in the year 1985. After this, the actress also worked in shows like Tu Tu Main Main, Shriman Shrimati, Nupur, Kidar and Naamkaran.

Worked in bank for 10 years
Reema Lagoo used to work before coming to Bollywood. He started working in Union Bank of India from the year 1979. He had served as a clerk for 10 years. However, later, keeping her acting career in mind, the actress said goodbye to this job.
Made headlines as Salman’s mother
Reema Lagoo first played the role of Juhi’s mother in Juhi Chawla’s film ‘Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak’. But, popularity came from the character of Salman Khan’s mother. She played the actor’s mother in Woh Saajan, Maine Pyaar Kiya, Hum Aapke Hain Koun, Patthar Ke Phool and Judwaa.

Died in 2017
Apart from being Salman Khan’s mother, Reema also played the role of mother to superstars like Shahrukh Khan, Aamir Khan, Sridevi and Sanjay Dutt. He had won the hearts of fans with his excellent performance as a wife in many films including Nishchay, Deewana Mastana, Shaadi Karke Phas Gaya Yaar, Kahin Pyaar Na Ho Jaye. He died due to cardiac arrest on 18 May 2017 at the age of just 59.
